Ottawa Summer Activities: Hammond Hill
Located: Du Golf Road, Hammond
Hammond Hill is the first eco-experience and wilderness retreat of its kind in Canada. Hammond Hill is an environmentally sustainable retreat for families across the region, featuring campsites, cabins and yurts in 62 acres of mature woodlands. Built entirely off the grid, all accommodations are available for nightly rentals year-round. Hammond Hill also features a licensed beer garden, volleyball & soccer fields, a children’s play area, hiking trails, Yoga, outdoor patios & fire pits, and more. Although massively hit by the derecho storm in May 2022. Hammond Hill should still be on everyone’s list of things to do in Ottawa this summer.

Ottawa Summer Activities: Hammond Golf & Broken Stick Brewing Company
Located: Du Golf Road, Hammond
Golf and beer are already a great match, and I can play golf and drink craft beer made on-site! The Hammond Golf Club has partnered with the Broken Stick Brewing Company and is proud to be the first golf brewery in Ontario! Hammond Golf Club also provides a restaurant with unique foods from our scratch kitchen and Executive Chef Nick Berolo! Hammond Golf & Broken Stick Brewing Company should be on your list of Ottawa summer activities.

Ottawa Summer Activities: Pinhey Sand Dunes
Located: Pineland Ave, Barrhaven
Pinhey Sand Dunes is an activity that deserves a spot on our list of things to do in Ottawa this summer! A hidden gem right in the middle of the city! A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with absolutely amazing white dunes and great historical backgrounds will excite everyone for a visit!
Ottawa Summer Activities: Watson’s Mill Manotick
Located: Dickinson Street, Manotick
Built in 1860 along the shores of the Rideau River, Watson’s Mill is still a working water-powered flour mill to this day. The Watson’s Mill is a museum with past artifacts and machinery exposed to visitors! An excellent trip for our history fans! The Watson’s Mill in Manotick is too fantastic for us not to include it on our list of Ottawa summer activities.
Ottawa Summer Activities: The Log Farm
Located: Cedarview Road, Barrhaven
With themes and activities for the whole family, it had to be on our list of things to do in Ottawa this summer! The Log Farm is an excellent trip for local heritage-craving enthusiasts. The farm offers its visitors a snippet of what a family farm was like back then and demonstrates how farmers currently farm.
